Berlin's Senator for Culture Sarah Wedl-Wilson has proposed that Watergate could temporarily move into the vacant Kindl Brauerei complex.
Speaking to the Berlin Senate's Committee on Culture, Wedl-Wilson cited the legendary club, which vacated its Falckensteinstrasse home after 22 years at the end of 2024, as a potential new tenant for the Neukölln space, B.Z.
The Kindl Brauerei site, which was formerly a brewery, has been empty since SchwuZ —based there for nearly five decades—held its final party on November 1st, after filing for insolvency in August.
