Italian boutique synth firm Clank has revealed Uranograph, a new digital synth with an inbuilt tape looper, FX and wave-folding.

The instrument creates sound through additive and phase distortion synthesis, with five voices that can create textures ranging from warm tones to metallic FX.

It's controlled by tactile capacitive keys and touch-bend surfaces crafted from opaline black plexiglass for real-time note articulation and modulation.

The idea behind the design was to create a synth that responds to pressure and touch like a stringed instrument.
